The Dairy Syndicate: Part 3, Total Anarchy at Dawn

If the first two phases of the farmyard cheese crisis were masterclasses in tactical misdirection and psychological warfare, Phase 3 was pure, unadulterated chaos.
It all went down just after dawn, a time I now refer to as the Magical Cheese Hour. The sun was barely up, painting the wooden shed in a soft, deceptively peaceful morning light. I stepped out to deliver the usual morning rinds, expecting the standard standoff between the rooster and the cat.
Instead, the syndicate suffered a massive security breach. The farm dog discovered the operation.

The dog trotted around the corner of the cabin, sniffed the air, and realized that a premium dairy distribution network had been operating right under his nose.
The rooster completely lost his mind.
He could tolerate a cold war with a feline, but a canine encroaching on his racket? Absolutely unacceptable. He didn't just crow; he let out a screech that sounded like a broken buzzsaw. He flapped his wings furiously, kicking up dust, and launched a full-scale, fearless kamikaze charge straight at the dog. It was pure bravado, and against all odds, it worked, he actually managed to chase the startled dog halfway across the yard.
But the victory was short-lived.
The dog ran for about twenty yards before his actual instincts kicked in. He stopped, spun around, and seemed to realize: Wait a minute. I am a predator mammal, and you are a flightless bird.
The tables turned instantly. The dog launched into a counter-chase, snapping at the air, while the rooster went from fierce mob boss to a panicked cloud of feathers, booking it toward the barn with his tail feathers tucked.
While the two heavyweights were locked in a mutual, pride-driven pursuit across the north pasture, the ultimate irony unfolded back at the cabin.
The three hens, the very same wives the rooster had selfishly deceived just weeks ago, quietly strolled out from the brush. Completely unbothered by the screaming and dust-kicking happening in the distance, they walked right up to the porch, found the pristine pile of diced cheese cubes, and calmly ate every single bite.
By the time the rooster shook the dog and made his way back, the plate was clean. Absolute poetic justice.
